Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee
The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee supports the development of an inclusive working and learning environment. The EDI Committee is Chaired by Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½â€™s Vice Principal for Skills, Lifelong Learning and Commercial, reports to Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½â€™s Executive Leadership Team and Board.
The EDI Committee determines Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½â€™s equality, diversity and inclusion strategic direction and priorities. It also monitors progress to achieve our equality focused ambitions under legislation or external charter marks, oversees Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½â€™s compliance with equality, diversity and human rights legislation, and is where emerging issues and sectoral trends are discussed.
Rainbow Staff Network
Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½â€™s Rainbow Staff Network is inclusive and open to all staff who identify as LGBTQI+ was launched in October 2020 with following aims:
- To provide mutual support, encouragement and mentoring to LGBTQI+ staff across Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½;
- To raise the visibility of LGBTQI+ issues within Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½;
- To work with Ñî¹óåú´«Ã½ senior management to create a diverse and inclusive working environment; and
- To sign-post to other LGBTQI+ organisations and networks.​​​​​​​
